A Quick Summary Of Our Faith and Beliefs

• We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, including the creation of the world in six, 24-hour days.
• We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit..
• We believe in the deity of Jesus, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, and in our redemption through His shed blood.
• We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His imminent, personal return in power and glory.
• We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful humanity.
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
• We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved unto the resurrection of life, and the lost unto the resurrection of final judgment and eternal separation from God.
• We believe in the glorious appearing of our Lord at the End of Days, to usher-in righteousness and justice, and the restoration of all things. Our pastor stands where the first 300 years of the early church stood in the only systematic view of eschatology that was preached: Historic Premillenialism (Post-Trib Rapture). Listen to Pastor Carl's teaching on Tribulation and Revelation HERE
• We believe in the sanctity of life. A child is a person at conception.
• We believe a marriage is between one man and one woman only (Matthew 19:4).
• We believe in displaying the redemptive love of Jesus Christ toward all others, as much as it is possible with us to do so. We do not condemn those entangled in sin, but rather look for ways to help them establish biblical reconcilation and forgiveness if they will allow us to do so.
• We believe in the nation of Israel's right to exist. We believe the revenant nation of Israel is a 2,800-year-old fulfilled prophecy and a sign to the nations that God is on His throne and that the Bible is the true and eternally trustworthy Word of God.

• We are not a "reformed" Church - a "code word" for a Calvinist church.

  See this article: https://www.hickoryhammockbaptist.org/calvin.html

Also see this booklet that Pastor Carl wrote about the topic: https://www.hickoryhammockbaptist.org/booklets/calvinism.html

• We are not a "tongues speaking" church, in public worship services. Especially the wide variety of "ecstatic utterances" heard in some churches. That kind of "language" or "tongue" is found nowhere in the Bible, in context.
See this 7 minute video for a starter of understanding on the topic: https://www.carlgallups.com/carltube/tonguestruth.html

Also see this brief article written by Pastor Carl: https://www.hickoryhammockbaptist.org/quick%20answers/tongues.html

• We believe that marriage is between one man and one woman only. The Bible teaches that God's judgment comes upon those who altar this truth. There is no other biblical "arrangement" for marriage. (Matt. 19:3ff).

There are two primary ways that we can help you or a loved one with addiction problems.

1. Our church - HICKORY HAMMOCK BAPTIST CHURCH in Milton, FL. has an on-campus Addiction Recovery meeting and class called Chainbreakers. It meets several times a week. This ministry is for those with addictions, or for those who have a loved one with an addiction and need deeper understanding about the matter of addiction and addiction recovery.

2. We have a deep ministry alliance with Redeemed Ministries in Cleveland, AL.

Pastor Carl's son - Brandon Gallups - is the current Sr. Pastor at Wacissa Community Church in Wacissa, Florida - just south and east of Tallahassee. Pastor Brandon used to serve at Redeemed Church as Associate Pastor and is a long-time addiction ministry specialist, and was the Director of the addiction program, working under the senior pastor Chris Gortney. My ministry at HHBC, Brandon's Ministry at Waccissa Community Church, and Redeemed Ministry's Pastor Chris Gortney are all deeply connected in addiction recovery ministry and the Redeemed Recovery In-House Program. Redeemed ministries runs a highly respected and renowned in-house addiction program. They minister to people from all over the nation, and they often have people in their program coming from our own region.

If you or a loved one needs to speak to someone at Redeemed about getting in their program, please call the church office at 850.623.8959 and we will put you in touch with the appropriate addiction counselor and intake person. In an emergency, and after office hours at the church, you can call 850.232.3648 and someone will help you get the process for addiction ministry started.

OR - You call our church office 850.623.8959, Mon.-Fri. 8 AM CT - 4 PM CT and ask the administrative assistant that answers to put you in touch with someone from our church who can assist you in this matter. Your particular situation will be handled with the utmost of integrity and discretion.

Services and Ministry Offered

From Dr. Serio's website:

"If you are interested in taking that first step in healing your sexual hurt, here is the place to begin… Maybe you’ve never told anyone or maybe you told
people who didn’t believe you or support you? Maybe you’ve felt too embarrassed to share the details of what was done to you? Maybe you feel too ashamed to share
what you’ve done but you need to get it off your chest? Maybe you’re still wondering if you were responsible for what happened and need to talk about it?
Maybe you feel like your life is out of control and need some help? Maybe you have flashbacks and memories that come out of nowhere, leaving you depressed for
days or angry at people? Maybe you need some wise advice in learning how to cope, grieve, forgive or love? Maybe you’re having marriage problems, health issues or
relationship bumps as a result of your pain? Maybe you told people who made you feel worse?

"Maybe you know someone else who would benefit from some confidential and customized counseling? Do you have a friend, classmate, colleague, or family member that would
benefit from your purchasing some counseling time for them? It would be the most life-changing gift you could ever give to them.

"I am compassionate and competent, warm and wise when it comes to understanding your sexual hurts. This is my specialty. I won’t be shocked and you won’t be disappointed.
You’ve already kept this secret long enough. You’re not alone and you need someone to finally talk to. You need someone who gets it and who has helped others to cope with
the same experience or temptation in their life. Wouldn’t it be nice to talk to someone who will help you heal? Wouldn’t it be nice to talk to someone who would help you find
your strength in God since you’re fresh out of ideas and energy at this point in your life? You’ve rewound and repeated this event over and over - let’s try something new.
Contact me. Let’s get started."

Services and Ministry Offered

From George's website:

George Carneal, author of “From Queer to Christ," grew up in the ’70s, raised by a Southern Baptist minister in the ultra-conservative Bible Belt.
For years he struggled with his Christian faith and a same-sex attraction. George shares his painful journey through a secular world at odds with homosexuality,
in addition to a religious world that is hostile to homosexuals. Perhaps sharing his journey through the eyes, and mind, of a confused child dealing with a
same-sex attraction will give some insight into the pain and difficulty of navigating these two worlds.

George would eventually spend 25 years immersed in the homosexual lifestyle (mostly in the Los Angeles club scene) and shares the pitfalls of that life.
His story is not about glamorizing a life he once lived. This is merely his journey and what he learned along the way. George is a frequent speaker at
churches and conferences, has appeared on numerous television and radio broadcasts, as well as contributing quotes to online articles for LifeSite News,
Christian Life Magazine, and The Christian Post.

Deliverance from that bondage is possible. There is hope in Christ!

HHBC is a hands-on missions and outreach oriented church family.

Since 2002, we have consistently and generously supported the Jack Goldfarb Christian School in Comas-Lima Peru. It is a school for needy children in a poverty sticken area outside of Lima. We send financial aid and send mission teams that work along side our brothers and sisters in Peru.

We are ministry partners with the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Comas - Pastor Angel Barrientos - since the early 2000s.

We are also a long-time ministry partner with Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat of Messiah of Israel Ministries in Tel Aviv, Israel. Pastor Carl and Rabbi Zev are dear friends and ministry partners. They do TV and radio outreach together, Bible and Prophecy conferences all over the U.S., and trips back and forth between Israel and the U.S. They have written a book together - THE RABBI, THE SECRET MESSAGE, AND THE IDENTITY OF MESSIAH. That book is leading many Jews in Israel and around the world to Jesus as Messiah and Lord.

We have a number of people in our church deeply involved in Kairos Prison Ministry International.

We have very strong working ties with Redeemed Ministries in Cleveland, Alabama - an alcohol and drug rehab program for men (We can refer and assist women as well).

Our church also gives a sizeable portion of our overall budget resources to various missions endeavors: local, regional, national, and international. We also give through the Cooperative Progam (Missions) of the Southern Baptist Convention.
